SMIL 2.0: Markup Language for Multimedia Presentations

Abstract
The article describes version 2.0 of the XML-based multimedia authoring language SMIL (stands for Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language). It describes the concepts and tags for temporal and spatial authoring as well as the design and implementation of interaction and personalization mechanisms.
