We study how to create realistic bridges in VR. You will walk just like in reality and interact the virtual world. You will use some of the latest VR equipment and will be rewarded with fruits and/or sweets for participation. The overall duration of the experiment is about 60 minutes with about 45 minutes in VR.
To participate you need:
1) to be over 18 years old and be able to give legal consent,
2) to be in good health and steady on your feet,
3) register in Doodle http://b.link/bridgesVR with your name and phone number so that we can reach you if needed. Your information is kept private - only we can see it! Please, note your timeslot - you won't see which one you booked after pressing "Send" button.
IMPORTANT: please, consult us before booking a slot if you might be pregnant, have vertigo, epilepsy or panic attacks, any injuries or serious health conditions, contact-transferable disease, also in case of any concerns.
For the experiment, we ask you
- for your safety, wear shoes with NO hills and if possible not flip-flops,
- for hygienic reasons, please, wear minimum make-up (no foundation or mascara, please),
- if you need vision correction (i.e. glasses), we recommend to wear contact lenses for the experiment (especially for correction stronger than 3 dioptres or glasses with large frame).
The user study will take place at Arsenal Object 214, Franz-Grill-Straße 9. A link to the map and GPS coordinates as well as our contacts are available in Doodle.
Please, plan to come 5 minutes before your booked time.
We kindly ask you to plan a break after the experiment for at least 1 hour before performing any critical or potentially dangerous activity in case you you belong to the small percent of people who feel the aftereffects of VR.
